OSU Paying Outside Firms Probing Marching Band

Documents show Ohio State University is paying a total of nearly 900 dollars an hour for an outside investigation studying the marching band culture. The university is paying the David Vaughn Consulting Group and the Arent Fox law firm, which were hired as part of a task force led by former Republican Ohio Attorney General Betty Montgomery. OSU fired band director Jon Waters in July after its investigation concluded he knew about but failed to stop a sexualized band culture. University officials say they will release final costs when the investigation is completed.
