As a kid attending Ohio State football games with his dad, Jon Lampley recalls being as fascinated by the university's band as he was the game. Now a senior at OSU, Lampley not only played four years with the school's marching band, he also put his own twist on some of the classics. Lampley explains his approach in producing a 7-track cd called Fight The Team.
A jazz studies major, Jon Lampley graduates in May. He says the feedback so far on his Fight The Team cd has surpassed his expectations. Lampley plans to continue to write and perform music and eventually pursue grad school so he can teach. You can hear more of his music at WCBE's Buckeye Bash Saturday at Woodland's Tavern.
