Owner Of Local Home Health Company Pleads Guilty To Medicaid Fraud

A home healthcare company owner who pleaded guilty to Medicaid fraud will serve two years behind bars and remand more than one million dollars she place in an offshore bank account. 67-year-old JoAnna Ochieng will also make 700 thousand dollars restitution to Medicaid, and to the I-R-S for back taxes. Federal prosecutors say Ochieng had employees of Healthy Solutions Home Health Services switch time sheets between parents so it looked like parents were caring for children other than their own. The company also inflated the number of home visits its employees conducted.
