Columbus, OH – This year marks the first time since 1998 that there has been an open seat in the US Senate to represent Ohio, so it was always thought that the contest to win that seat would be aggressive and expensive. Ohio Public Radio's Karen Kasler talked with Ohio Republican Party chairman Kevin DeWine and Ohio Democratic Party chairman Chris Redfern about the race to replace Sen. George Voinovich, and some of the other critical contests on this fall's ballot.
