Golf tournament officials have announced the launch of ticket sales for the U.S. Senior Open Championship, which will take place at Scioto Country Club in Upper Arlington in August 2016.
Championship Chair Walt Dennis says the return of major tournament golf to the historic course comes at a special time.
Scioto Country Club has a unique history in the game of golf. It's one of only four courses in the country to have hosted five different major tournaments - the 1926 U.S. Open, the 1931 Ryder Cup, the 1950 PGA Championship, the 1968 U.S. Amateur and the 1986 U.S. Senior Open. Dennis says about 3-thousand volunteers will be needed to host the 2016 Senior Open, and those applications will be available next spring. More information can be found at 2016ussenioropen.com
