Columbus, Oh – The Perseid Meteor Shower is expected to peak late Thursday night and early Friday morning. Meteors are bits of dust that, upon passing through the earth's atmopsphere, leave streaks of light in the sky. Tom Burns directs the Perkins Observatory at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware. He tells Mike Foley the shower has been happening over the last couple of nights, with the peak expected in the early morning hours of Friday.
