Petition For German Village Parking Permits Rejected

Columbus transportation officials have voted down a petition that would have required parking permits after 4 p.m. in German Village.

A resident of Kossuth Street submitted the petition, saying he worried about the safety of his young daughter, who often can’t find parking close to home. Opponents said the plan would have led to several similar petitions from residents on other streets, eventually causing a domino effect and the disappearance of public parking.
