An online petition seeks to have Fayette County Sheriff Vern Stanforth suspended for his handling of the investigation into the arson-related death of 8-year-old Mackenzie Branham in 2006. The nearly 130 people who signed the petition say Stanforth improperly handled key evidence along with other allegations. He denies the allegations.
