Pilkington's Statements To Police Allowed To Be Used At Trial

dailymail.co.uk

A judge has ruled a recorded police interrogation of a Bellefontaine woman saying she smothered her three young sons may be used during her trial.
The judge says 24-year-old Brittany Pilkington's recorded statements to police in August of last year were voluntary. Pilkington, who has pleaded not guilty to three counts of aggravated murder, says in the recording she smothered each boy with a blanket because she didn't want to see them suffering. Her lawyers argued the statements were obtained unconstitutionally.
