Police Identify Body Found In 1983

Columbus police say a homicide victim found in 1983 has been identified as a woman reported missing from Utah. 28-year-old Sharon Bowen was reported missing in the Salt Lake City area in late 1982. Detectives are trying to find her relatives. The partially decomposed body was found near Hoover Dam in 1983. Her remains went unidentified, and she was buried in October 1984 through donations from a funeral home and a cemetery. Police have not said how they identified Bowen.
