Police Shoot Teen In South Linden Home

Columbus police say officers responding to reports of a fight at a South Linden home shot a teenage boy Monday afternoon.  Officers who arrived at the house in the 2100 block of Gerbert Road allegedly found the 16-year-old armed suspect when they opened the door.  One officer shot, and struck the teen at least once. The teen was taken to a hospital in stable condition with injuries that weren't considered life threatening.  A police statement says a gun was recovered at the scene.   No officers were injured.  The incident took place several blocks away from the site where plainclothes officers shot and killed Henry Green 16 months ago.  The investigation is continuing.
