A new Quinnipiac University poll shows Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton has a strong hold among Democrats in three swing states. But it's a different story for Republicans. Ohio Public Radio's Jo Ingles explains.
The latest Quinnipiac University poll looked at three states – Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida. Pollster Peter Brown says on the Republican side, there’s not a clear front runner.
Brown – “Nobody is really ahead, everyplace.”
In Ohio, Governor Kasich leads the pack of possible GOP contenders with 20 percent. In Florida, that state’s former Governor, Jeb Bush leads with 24 percent but Kasich only has one percent there. And in Pennsylvania, it’s Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker who is leading the pack with 14 percent favoring him. Kasich has two percent there. Pollster Brown says this is pretty much what you’d expect to see in a poll at this point but he says as the field narrows and fewer potential candidates are out there, it should be easier to see who the front runners really are in these three swing states.
