Portion Of I-71 To Be Named For Fallen Worker

A portion of I-71 in Delaware County will be named to honor a state transportation worker killed in a construction zone accident last April. Ohio Department of Transportation officials say it will be called the Lee Rizor Memorial Highway. Rizor was hit by a tractor-trailer in a construction zone. ODOT officials are also hoping to raise awareness of the dangers of distracted driving.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
