Portman, Boehner Decline To Endorse A GOP Presidential Candidate

Republican Ohio Governor John Kasich's presidential super-pac has raised more than 11.5 million dollars to help jumpstart his White House bid.  New Day for America is the group supporting Kasich's ambitions. It raised the money in a little over  eight weeks. That's in line with several better-known Republican presidential contenders, though former Florida Governor Jeb Bush's team announced a fundraising haul exceeding 114 million dollars.  New Day for America leader Matt Carle says the group's total exceeded goals by 1 million dollars.  Republican U.S. House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio says he is remaining neutral in the GOP Presidential primaries due to his role as speaker. Republican U.S. Senator Rob Portman also says he is not endorsing Kasich's White House bid because he is focused on winning his own race.  Kasich is scheduled to formally announce his candidacy on July 21.
