Post Appeals Judge's Ruling

A death row inmate trying to delay his execution because of his extreme weight is appealing a judge's ruling denying his claim.Ronald Post weighs more than 400 pounds and is asking the courts to stop his January execution on the grounds his weight could cause him to suffer severe pain. The judge in November ruled Post is prohibited from challenging his execution by lethal injection because he raised similar claims in his first set of appeals in 1997. The judge says Post has failed to show that either his medical condition or Ohio's lethal injection procedures have changed radically since then.
