The Cincinnati Reds plan to extend protective netting at their ballpark next season. Thursday's announcement comes in the wake of a foul ball that struck and injured a young girl at a New York Yankees game this week. A third of the 30 major league teams have at the commissioner's urging extended the netting to at least the end of the dugout. The Reds will also be replacing the current netting behind home plate.
