Region looking for emergency volunteers

Columbus, OH – Columbus and Franklin County officials are asking residents to consider volunteering to help the region respond in emergency situations. The city and county are creating a medical reserve corps that would assist other area agencies in a natural disaster, disease outbreak or terrorist attack. Officials are certainly looking for physicians, nurses, paramedics and pharmacists. But program coordinator Robin Franz tells Mike Foley there's an even greater need for non-medical professionals.

More information, including registration options can be found at Franklin County and Columbus Medical Reserve Corps
