Regional Jobless Rate Steady In December

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says the unemployment rate for the central Ohio region held steady in December at 3.9 percent. That matches the Cleveland metro area with the lowest unemployment rate in the state. Delaware and Union are among eight counties that had unemployment rates of 3.5 percent or lower in December. The unemployment rate for Columbus and Franklin County was 3.8 percent. The agency says Ohio's overall rate rose slightly last month to 4.7 percent.
