Regional Leaders Launch Effort To Deal With Projected Population Growth

Mid Ohio Regional Planning Commission

Mid Ohio Regional Planning Commission officials are bracing for massive population growth. They met yesterday to begin planning for what a new study says will be 500-thousand new residents by 2050. Consultants on the "insight2050" project will develop plans for housing, transportation and energy, as well as the costs to keep up with the deluge of new residents. The first phase of the project will cost 500 thousand dollars, most of that coming from the federal government.
