Reivew Board Clears Columbus Cops Of Wrongdoing

The Columbus Police Firearms Review Board has cleared three officers of wrongdoing for shooting armed suspects. The review board found the officers acted appropriately during a pair of incidents last year. Officer Deborah Ayers shot a knife-wielding man at a downtown office building, while officers Kurt Jacobs and Sean Connair shot and killed an armed suspect outside a west side bar.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
