A new report shows Franklin County is a popular place for first-time homebuyers. The mortgage tracking firm RealtyTrac ranks the county among the top ten in the U.S. for first-time home ownership, citing the growth in the region's "millennial" population and lower down payments. The population of people ages 23 to 37 rose 22-percent since 2007 and the average down payment is 13-percent.
