A local developer has announced plans to construct 78 condos and apartments on the top 24 floors of LeVeque Tower downtown. Columbus-based Kaufman Development has not said what the sale prices or rents will be for the units. Construction is scheduled to be completed next year. Two other local developers last year announced plans to construct a 150 room hotel inside the building, which is expected to open next year. LeVeque Tower was built in 1927 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It is also where WCBE's transmitter is located.
