Reynodlsburg Man Sentenced For Role In Stolen Credit Card Ring

A Reynoldsburg man at the center of a global stolen credit card ring has been sentenced to five years in federal prison. Jim Letizia reports.

Francois Toure, who is the son of the former Vice President of Guinea, pleaded guilty to orchestrating the ring. U.S. Secret Service agents say Toure and seven other people attached stolen credit card numbers to gift cards that were then used to purchase merchandise that his organization sold for a profit. Toure got some of the numbers from credit-card theft gangs in China. The defendants called themselves "Youngest In Charge." Agents say the group netted 1.2 million dollars from 289 global banks and customers between April 2012 and March 2015. Three of the other defendants are in central Ohio. 26-year-old Robert Kamara of Canal Winchester is scheduled to be sentenced on June 9. Ahmad Mobarik of Columbus has been sentenced to four years in prison. His brother Mohamed is scheduled to be sentenced on June 28.
