Republican Rhode Island gubernatorial candidate Allan Fung is dismissing criticism about shooting a political ad at a diner in Columbus. Fung - the Mayor of Cranston, Rhode Island - says what is important is the message and he urges people to look at his job creation record. Fung declined to discuss production of the TV ad about making Rhode Island "open for business," which was shot July 31 at Tommy's Diner. Campaign finance reports show Fung has paid 127 thousand dollars to Delaware-based Strategic Media for advertising services. Fung faces a September 9th primary against businessman Ken Block, who is blasting the ad.
