Rickenbacker To Hold Emergency Exercise Today

Officials at Rickenbacker Airport today will hold a mandatory emergency preparedness exercise involving dozens of police officers, doctors, Transportation Security Administration officials, and rescue workers. The exercise is required by the Federal Aviation Administration every three years. The agencies will respond to a scenario in which a plane from Mexico City is forced to make an emergency landing. Regular airport operations won't be affected but some radio traffic may sound like an emergency.
