Rose To Be Inducted Into Reds Hall Of Fame

washingtonpost.com

The Cincinnati Reds will induct Pete Rose into the team's hall of fame in late June. The club's hall of fame board chose Rose as the sole inductee. Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred recently rejected Rose's application for reinstatement following his lifetime ban in 1989 for gambling on games. Manfred says baseball's career hits leader continued to gamble. Reds owner Bob Castellini says the induction will be "a defining moment" in franchise history.
