The latest report by the non-profit Robert Wood Johnson foundation shows that for the second consecutive year, Delaware County is the healthiest county in Ohio. The organization's annual County Health Rankings place Franklin County 58th out of the state's 88 counties, down from 52nd last year. Cuayhoga County is ranked 64th. Foundation spokesperson Andrea Ducas says Franklin and Cuayhoga counties have work to do in order to improve their rankings, but there are some good signs as well.
The rankings are based on health outcomes and other factors like obesity, smoking, air pollution and income inequality. The foundation complies the rankings in conjunction with the University of Wisconsin.
