Tonight's World Cafe spotlight is on Brattleboro, Vermont's Sam Amidon, the independent folk artist who will be discussing his latest release "Bright Sunny South," a project which smartly re-imagines a set of traditional folk songs along with some unexpected covers.

Amidon was recently listed as one of National Public Radio's List of Five Musicians Who Make Borrowing Sound Original.

It's Sam Amidon with host David Dye on World Cafe, tonight at 8 on WCBE.
