Columbus city officials say the Santa Maria, the replica of Christopher Columbus' flagship, is being pulled out of the Scioto River to make room for implementation of the Scioto Greenways plan. The vessel will undergo extensive repairs while it's out of the river, with a projected return in late 2016. The project will cost Columbus taxpayers at least 500 thousand dollars.
