Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine says students will have until Dec. 14 to submit a 60-second video on the importance of being aware of scams and avoiding them.
More from Mike Foley.
DeWine says the contest gives students a chance to educate Ohioans and their peers about scams and demonstrate their creativity and talent. Entries may come from individuals or two-student teams. The topics include ways to avoid scams, and scams involving prizes and sweepstakes and online marketing. Other topics include scholarships and grants scams and grandparent scams. The top three winners will receive college scholarships of $2,500, $1,500, and $1,000, respectively. They also have the opportunity to be featured on the attorney general's website.
