Scotts Reports 1st Quarter Loss

The Marysville-based Scotts company reports a first quarter loss of nearly 68 million dollars compared with a loss of nearly 74 million during the same period a year ago.

The company credits the narrower loss on improved sales. The company says sales increased by 3 percent from a year ago to nearly 206 million dollars, mostly due to price increases and the performance of its lawn service operation.
