Pike County Sheriff's deputies are searching for at least one armed suspect in the murders of eight family members whose bodies were found Friday in four different locations. Sheriff Charles Reader says it is a strong possibility that one or more people may still be at large after the execution-style killings.
Reader says the bodies of seven adults and a 16-year-old were from the same family. While investigators are still identifying the victims, they do know all are members of the Rhoden family.
Reader says his office has spoken with other family members and is providing them with additional protection. Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine's office is leading the investigation. DeWine told reporters the victims were shot in bed at night. He says there is no indication of a threat to the community at large.
DeWine says more than 30 people have been interviewed so far as part of the investigation. Investigators do not have a motive for the shootings.
