Sears and Kmart are expected to close 72 more stores nationwide by September, including those at Eastland and Westland malls. Four central Ohio Kmarts and two Sears stores were closed earlier this year. Last month, Sears reported its first quarterly profit in more than two years, attributed to the sale of the Craftsman brand to competitor Stanley Black and Decker.
