A Cleveland man who has held protests against the Cleveland Indians' Chief Wahoo mascot has been indicted on federal charges of stealing grant money aimed at helping Native Americans. 70-old Robert Roche allegedly conspired to divert money from the American Indian Education Center he directed. Prosecutors say Roche and a consultant from Lewis Center embezzled at least 180 thousand dollars in grant money and Roche diverted 77 thousand for his personal use.
