Second Man Convicted In 2005 Franklinton Slaying

A Columbus man has been sentenced to life in prison for dousing a Franklinton crack-house doorman with gasoline before another man set him on fire. 41-year-old Shane Albert doused 48-year-old Charles Calloway in 2005. Prosecutors say Julius Taylor then dropped a lighted piece of paper on him. Calloway died of his injuries. Taylor was convicted last year and sentenced to 25 years in prison. Police say the men thought Calloway had information about an earlier shooting at the crack house on South Dakota Avenue.
