Sentencing In Burned Body Case

The man accused of shooting his cousin and setting the body ablaze has been sentenced to 20 years to life in prison under a plea deal. 20-year-old Shaquille Davis was sentenced Monday for the July slaying of 24-year-old Phillip Kimbro Junior. Davis initially had represented himself at trial and claimed the shooting was done in self-defense.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
