A Columbus man will serve 10 and a half years in prison for a fatal shooting in Whitehall last year.
22-year-old Dominique Hales pleaded guilty to killing 22-year-old Christopher Slocum in June of 2011 at a pool hall. Prosecutors say the shooting was sparked by inappropriate comments made by Slocum’s brother to women who were part of a group that included Hales. Prosecutors say Hales fired several shots and appeared to be aiming for Slocum's brother.
