Suspended Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly told a jury yesterday he's done nothing wrong. Kelly is being tried on 13 counts of theft-in-office, four counts of theft, as well as money laundering, tampering with evidence, tampering with records, perjury and failure to keep a cashbook. Prosecutors say he used public money to buy meals and clothes and pocketed proceeds from sales of county property. Prosecutors say he began to use his position to misspend public money soon after taking office in 2009. Closing arguments could begin later today.
