Shootings Plague Neighborhood

Police say two separate shootings in the same southeast Columbus neighborhood left one man dead and two other injured. Police say the Sunday incidents were the third and fourth shootings in the same neighborhood this month. Investigators said 22-year-old Quinten Ellis-John Prater was killed and 21-year-old James Norvet III critically injured in a shooting at a house in the 700 block of Lilley Avenue Sunday afternoon. Witnesses say they saw two men running from the scene, but there have been no arrests. Earlier Sunday, 25-year-old Rakim Willis was shot twice by someone in a car as he stood outside a house along Kelton Avenue. He is expected to survive. A 20-year-old man was arrested. Police also were busy with a Sunday night shooting on the city's west side that left one man one wounded.
