The local man charged charged with dousing former finacee Judith Malinowsi with gasoline and setting her on fire has pleaded guilty to an aggravated murder charge.
Michael Slager’s deal with prosecutors ends the possibility of a death sentence. Slager was scheuled to go on trial today on harges of aggravated murder with death penalty specifications that were filed after the victim's death. Slager was sentenced Thursday to life in prison. Slager was serving an 11 year sentenced after being earlier convicted of aggravated arson and felonious assault
