Ohio's unemployment rate rose by a tenth of a point in April to 5.2 percent after holding steady for the previous three months. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says there were 297 thousand unemployed workers in April, up 3,000 from a revised March figure.  The state added 64 hundred jobs last month, with gains in sectors including manufacturing, professional and business services, and education and health. Sectors with the biggest losses were local government and trade, transportation and utilities. The nation's jobless rate for April is 5.4 percent.
