Some Cincinnati Nightclub Shooting Victims File Lawsuit

Associated Press via npr.org

Eight of the fifteen people wounded in a Cincinnati nightclub shooting are suing the club, the owner and the owner of the building. The suit alleges the defendants failed to have a proper security plan in place and enough security personnel. It also claims they failed to protect club patrons from "violent activity and injury." According to the lawsuit, patrons who paid more to use an express entrance in front or the "clandestine" entrance in back of Cameo nightclub were not patted down. Cornell Beckley has pleaded not guilty in the March shooting that prosecutors said developed from a neighborhood "feud over nothing." The club has since closed.
