Some Commission Members Want Coleman To Appoint CCS Board

Members of Mayor Michael Coleman's Education Commission appear divided on how the Columbus City Schools should be run. At issue is whether the district should continue to be governed by an elected board or come under mayoral control. Some commission members believe the mayor should appoint the school board, but Coleman has repeatedly stated he does not want to run the schools.
