Ohio Public Radio

TV talk show host and former Cincinnati mayor Jerry Springer has decided not to enter the gubernatorial race. Springer announced his decision Wednesday in his weekly podcast. The 73-year-old Democrat says as "a husband, father and grandfather," he isn't ready for a five-year commitment of campaigning and serving. Springer ran unsuccessfully for the  nomination in 1982 and has contemplated other statewide runs in recent years.
