State: Cincinnati's Amazon Bid Rejected Due To Lack Of Tech Workers

Ohio economic development officials say Cincinnati lost its bid to host Amazon's second headquarters because the city lacks enough tech workers.

The region's poor transportation infrastructure also hurt its chances. A Brookings Institution report ranks Cincinnati 27th out of 30 metropolitan areas for the largest addition of tech jobs from 2013 to 2015. Cities that were named finalists, including Columbus, were ranked higher.
