A Democratic State Representative was sentenced yesterday to one year of probation after pleading no contest to a charge of driving while under the influence. Prosecutors say 36-year-old Stephen Slesnick was stopped along U.S. Route 30 in Wayne County last February. Prosecutors say his blood-alcohol level tested above the legal limit. He has yet to comment on the charges or his sentence. Slesnick has served in the legislature since 2008 and is seeking re-election in November.
