A new committee of state lawmakers has been empaneled to review whether Ohio's unemployment compensation system is sustainable and determine if any solvency issues should be addressed. The panel of six Republicans and two Democrats will hold its first meeting on August 25. The group will emphasize getting input from labor groups, businesses and Ohio's workforce. The committee will help craft legislation to be considered this fall.
