State, Local Officials Working To Protect Public Safety During Red White And Boom

There will be a large law enforcement presence on the streets for Columbus' Red White and Boom fireworks display tonight. Ohio Homeland Security officials say the holiday falls during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Their federal counterparts say this brings an increased risk of a terrorist attack.  Columbus city officials are reminding the public that shooting a gun into the air to celebrate the Fourth of July is a safety hazard.  They've posted a video online explaining the dangers, including the possibility of someone being hurt or killed by falling bullets.
