State Reports Slight Decline In Unemployment

Ohio's seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate fell by one-tenth of a point to 4.3 percent in April. 

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says non-farm payrolls fell by 1 thousand from March. The state gained jobs in sectors that include trade transportation and utilities; professional and business services; and information. Ohio lost jobs in sectors including leisure and hospitality; financial activities; and educational and health services. The national jobless rate for April is 3.9 percent.
