State Says Casinos Have Generated More Than A Billion In Tax Revenue

Ohio's four casinos have generated more than 1 billion dollars in tax revenue since the first one opened in 2012, and just over half of the revenue has gone to cities and counties. The casinos pay one-third of their gross revenue in taxes to the state. The Ohio Casino Control Commission say 538 million dollars went to cities and counties. Ohio schools got nearly 359 million, or just over one-third of the revenue. Each host city has received 52.7 million dollars.
